Margo Wesley - Poetry Margo Wesley received her Ph.D. in literature and theology from the Graduate
Theological Union, following B.A. and M.A. degrees in English literature from Colby College and Northwestern University as well as study at Manchester University. She has taught at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific and through CARE, and is a poet. Her research explores the spirituality of poetry for both poet and reader: what certain poems, whether or not overtly religious, may reveal concerning the spiritual struggles of their authors; and the surprising kinds of spiritual experiences readers may find themselves drawn into as they engage with these poems. Special interests are poets often considered “difficult,” such as St. John of the Cross, Donne, Hopkins, Dickinson, and Stevens..
