Michael Rhodes - Film and Video
A graduate of Yale University, he holds masters degrees in film from USC School of Cinema and in theology from the Pacific School of Religion. He has produced and/or directed hundreds of dramatic television episodes, a dozen movies for television, a mini-series and two feature films. In addition to his five Emmys, other honors include the Templeton Prize, several Christopher medals, and the Humanitas Prize. Among his accomplishments are the feature film
"Romero," the CBS television series "Christy," the NBC movie for television "In the Best Interest of the Childen." He has directed many episodes of "China Beach," the mini-series "Heidi," and the feature film "Entertaining Angels: the Dorothy Day Story." Shortly after 9/11 he produced "The Spirit of America." In 2001 he created Film Clips which provides collections of great movie moments useful to religious and secular educators as teaching tools, discussion starters and sermon components. He now serves as president of the non-profit company, Film Clips of America.
